Second Annual Knicks Legends Night Set for Feb. 22

Dick McGuire Knickerbocker Legacy Award Presentation

The New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that the team will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1969-70 World Championship team at the Second Annual Knicks Legends Night on Feb. 22, when the team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks. The Dick McGuire Knickerbocker Legacy Award will also be presented to the individual who exudes the qualities of what it means to be a Knickerbocker: Pride, Tradition & Class.

“When sports fans all over this country historically think of great teams, the 1969-70 Knickerbockers Championship squad is always near the top of the list,” Walsh said. “We are honored that they will be returning to the World’s Most Famous Arena for our fans to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of their incredible feat.”

At halftime on Feb. 22, the legends will be honored on court to commemorate the occasion.
